Greetings and salutations!
It is me, Adrian, who was one of the reporters who covered Code:Edge and Project Element by Dance 2XS.
I have to thank Dance2XS from the bottom of my heart for the heart warming and fantastic workshop. I believe everyone who attended the workshop would concur with me. It certainly could not have been any better. This event for me was not only an eye opener, but also it instilled the fire in me to learn dance over again and once again made me contemplate the reason why i want to dance.
Also would like to add that the people who went for Project Element, were definitely familiar faces and everyone who were in the workshop had only thing in mind, they were yearning to learn with an open mind. Throughout the workshop, although the people were trying to get the choreography, learn the steps and stressed out, everyone were enjoying the workshop. I love all the instructors - Lee Daniel, Patrick Chen and Gigi Torres. I love all their choreographies, their musicality is amazing, execution of their choreography really a two thumbs up. They have motivated me so much, makes me want to pack my bag and go to LA so much! Me being a jazz lover, this workshop has taught me an array of hip hop styles and ways in playing with the music, and my love for hip hop has grown.
The competition heats were amazing, it was not an easy battle for our contestants. All the competitors were confident in getting into the finals, this shows how sure they were and how much efforts were put in. However, they were uncertain about winning the champion as there were many groups that were tough to beat. The heats contestants set off in a positive attitude and the strong will to win.

Members' Etiquette @ Studio Wu!
To our valued members:
1. Please take note to book for the classes you wish to attend in advance because I feel bad when I see members who came all the way and cannot take the class that is full.
2. For non-members who wish to sign-up and start classes on the same day itself, please visit the studio at least 20 minutes before the class starts to register so as to prevent yourself from missing the warm up of the dance class.
ps: The purpose of warm up is to warn the body of the coming vigorous exercise so as to prevent shock to your muscles and of course, injuries.
3. Do note that being late for the class you book for is being not respectful to the instructor. Therefore, please try to be on time for the dance classes or cancel your class booking if you know you cant make it.
4. Chatting during the class is a really strange behavior because doing that defeats the purpose of taking the dance class which is to listen, understand and learn. When you chat, your basically cant do all 3.
5. It is also very important for our dear members to drop their cards before entering the class.(This takes less then 3 seconds). Otherwise we will have a hard time tallying the number of students for each class. Can you imagine if i stop the class to ask you for your card? To those who made it a point to do that, you are appreciated.

The most major event this year for Studio Wu is Project Element SG and CODE:EDGE 2007 and its happening right now!
Slots for the PE masterclass workshop on the 10th & 11th Dec 2007 are selling out fast!
For those who already sign up, they are in for an exciting learning experience as they will be learning for 3 different instructors and they will take turns to teach during the workshop!
The 2nd part of this major event is the CODE:EDGE dance competition to be held on the 15th Dec @ ZOUK!!! Get ready to watch many strong dancers form teams to dance for glory. The judges include instructors from Dance2XS. There will also be a solo dance battle.
Heats for the dance competition will be held on 7th Dec 2007 at 6.30pm and 8th Dec 2007 at 3.00pm. The Venue for the heats will be studio wu keck seng tower.

Exciting Weekend
It was quite an exciting few days over the weekend with master classes and Suntec Dance comp.
The masterclass by Asuka was superb, a very different feel with lots of style. FYUUUUuuu....power. For those who missed out the class, we'll be putting up a short clip of the class to let you see what you missed out on...
But no worries, we'll be having more of these overseas instructors' masterclasses coming up real soon.
It was a great show at Suntec as well. With a lot more different styles showcased and level of dance improving each year, you never know what will happen in the next competition coming up.
